There are times to be quiet but this week was a time to be BOLD. The owners of the farm we are purchasing have been living on pins-and-needles for weeks as this process has dragged on - albiet steadily making progress. So, we decided to send them an email to help put their minds at ease...
Mr. and Mrs. Farm Owners,
Let me write you some peace of mind.
We are absolutely committed to purchasing your farm.
Nothing can stand in the way of us purchasing your farm.
No obstacle is too big for us to purchase your farm.
We LOOOOVE your farm.
I know all that sounds silly in some ways but I don’t know how else to tell you how things stand. You need not fear!
We have been looking for a farm for 11 years. As I expressed to you the very first time we came to see the house we have NEVER put an offer in on a home and the reason was because we could not find the place that we believed God had waiting for us. We have NEVER been in agreement when we looked at homes – He would like one that I wouldn’t like and vice versa and every one of those homes was still not really what we were looking for. We had a list and sometimes in frustration we would compromise what we knew we wanted to see if we could MAKE a house fit. I have stared at that list for years – some of the things on the list were absolute necessities but much of it was also my dream home ideals. (One of the items was wallpaper with roses on it) When we walked in the door it was all I could do to not start crying because I KNEW this was it. 15 minutes later DH looked at me and said – This is it – This is the ONE.
For us this has been a total God-journey. If I can’t sleep at night it’s not because I’m worried – it’s because I am so excited.
We feel God promised us that this whole process would go step-by-step and it certainly has – it’s taken a little longer than I hoped – but everything has gone just like He promised.
If I could bottle you some peace I would drop it off for you today. Instead I pray that you will have a peace that surpasses understanding. Remember your own story about serendipity that brought you to the farm? Remember when you told me how the farm has a quiet gentle good “spirit” about it. If all what I have said above is foreign to you then remember your own story and what bought you here and maybe you will understand.
And also - does it seem strange to you that we have “hit it off” so well? It doesn’t to me. I have prayed blessing for you for 11 years – not knowing who you were of course!
Now you know why we are not worried about home inspections, wells, septic beds etc – if this is the place for us – and we believe it is - then we have no worries whatsoever because we trust that God will sort it all out.
Have an awesome PEACEFUL weekend! Talk to you soon.

The Mr. then replied:
This is Mr. Farm Owner. Thanks so much for the lovely letter. You have a way of calming my nerves!!
Yesterday, I spent over 2 hours with the appraiser from (a town nearby). "SERENDIPITY RIDES AGAIN" !! After introductions, we realized we grew up in the same town about 10 miles apart. I know the family name but not him, as he is 5 years older. Since he had been a realtor he knew my brother. He told me that he often came to my dad's service station as a teenager for gasoline and just to talk to my dad. Can you believe it????
So, things are happening according to script and with a hand from above!
Talk to you soon.
Mr. Farm Owner
Well - I can believe it!!!! I am in awe of how everything is unfolding but I am not surprised.
Phillipians 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him who have been called according to His purpose.
It's good to be loved huh?
The journey continues...

Letter to the owners
I am a mom to many and a wife to my best friend. We live on 10 acres of heaven on a small farm that needs lots of work and will keep us busy for years! We love people coming to visit, animals and the peace and quiet that you can only appreciate after living in the city for 20 years. I love to write about our adventures in homesteading, country living, food storage, canning and emergency preparedness. Please feel free to share any information from this site in part or in full by giving credit to me as author, including a link to www.adventures-in-country-living.blogspot.ca
